County Commissioner

Debbie County Commissioner
Name - Debbie Docherty
As County Commissioner I am responsible for leading the 5000 plus adults, girls and young women who are members of Girlguiding Bedfordshire. In this exciting role I'm supported by an Assistant County Commissioner and a network of Division and District Commissioners who all work hard at a local level to ensure that a good quality Guiding programme is available to all.

I also have an excellent team of specialist advisors and administrators, these women, and increasingly a few men, support all aspects of communication, administration, recruitment, training and public relationships as well as ensuring we can provide an exciting and varied range of opportunities for all members.

I've been involved in Guiding since I was seven years old and still love going to Brownies (as Snowy Owl) on a Monday night. I've recently returned to camping with the Guides and found that I still love it. I'm also a member of the Trefoil Guild and get to their meetings when I can, especially if they are having home made cakes.
