Every one of our members has an important contribution to make to Guiding in Bedfordshire regardless of her age or ability. We really do believe in equality of opportunity for all.

Guiding is open to everyone and we try to ensure that as many girls with special needs as possible are integrated into our units. To help this take place, we provide information and training to Guiders to help them to understand specific special needs issues. We will also provide support to individual Guiders to help them run an integrated unit. We hope that this "can do" approach makes Guiding a positive experience for the girls and the Guider alike.

This year we held a very successful camp for girls with special needs and their friends where they had the chance to participate in a range of craft activities in a supportive environment.
