It doesn't need the Summer for all of us in Bedfordshire Guide Association to enjoy the outdoors! Over the past twelve months everyone from the youngest Rainbow to the oldest Guider has enjoyed a wide range of outdoor activities from canoeing and rock climbing to treasure hunts and night hikes.

We have had to change some of our outdoor programmes this year due to Foot and Mouth disease. One of the most imaginative ways we have done this was when we took girls from Bedford Polhill District on a train trip to Brighton. 170 Rainbows, Brownies and Guides visited the Sea Life center, ate their tea on the beach and panned for gold on the pier.

What a day to remember!
